Just perusing the MSDN and TechNet blogs today and came across a cool blog on Securing SQL Server Integration Services in the enterprise with respect to the SSIS Engine, SSIS packages, and the SQL Engine. I’m battling dealing with security problems where I work, mostly related to what was done in the past before I joined, trying to unravel security and permissions that used to be opened up but now closed. This post looks like some good info to start, and I hope to add my own best practices to his list as well.
