Dimitri Furman with Microsoft comes up with some pretty slick stuff, and this one is worth the read.  The post goes back to April of this year...doesn't it seem kind of slow to you lately regarding news in the SQL Server world? Besides Buck Woody posting blogs, I don't really see much happening with SQL Server lately out on MSDN.  Maybe everyone is on vacation or taking a break?  "Unknown". LOL

Anyway, go see what he's got here and how he uses the ALTER TABLE SWITCH TO syntax to handle this chore.  There's no real great way to do this I guess, but I liked his approach. Check it out!

You want me to strap her to the hood? She'll be fine. It's not as if it's going to rain or something.
