I found two interesting ones for this week.

It's been kind of slow on MSDN site for SQL Server, not sure why.   By the way, ever wonder why, as I have, their blog site is running on Community Server and not Sharepoint? Not that I'm knocking Community or anything; on the contrary, it's owned by Telligent out of Dallas and they have some super sharp folks working there. I've worked with a few in the past on some large custom app/dev projects.  Enough rambling, here are the sites to visit:

Temdb Configuration check script

The first posting that I found is another take on tempdb sizing for SQL Server. Seems that every year there's some sort of change to this since SQL 2005 came out. Check this post out for a cool script to see if you're somewhat in compliance, and if your checklist matches theirs. It's on the "Data, Design, and SQL Server" blog site. I never heard of the 'non-default CPU affinity mask...good stuff.  As always I throw in my .02 cents - check to see if there is a problem first before blindly making huge changes.  Word.

Learn SQL Server 2008 R2 in E-Learning Clinics

Bookmark the site and get some good info from the ISV Developer Community blog and learn the latest and greatest features - Master Data Services, StreamInsight, and SQL Azure with others soon to follow.  Microsoft seems to be putting out some really good vids these days in my opinion.
