Great post on creating SQL counters.

Found a nice post on the MSDN blogs by Jay on how to create a custom perfmon counter for SQL Server.  Good stuff!  I’ve always wondered about this back to, oh, SQL Server 7.0 at least, but I never knew how to create one and really didn’t have a reason to do so.  This is a good example of rolling your own; gives me some ideas now on what I might be able to incorporate into my environments.  Thanks for the blog – definitely worthy of my category “The Best of MSDN Blogs”!
