Chock full of handy items!

Another neat feature in SQL Server Management Studio 2008 (SSMS 2008) is the extended menu that you’ll find when you right-click on the query editor. You’ll find one that I really like – “Trace Query in SQL Server Profiler”.  This is really cool when you need to trace something fast in SQL Server Profiler – it opens up a window with the spid that called it already filtered, and a set of default events and columns already pre-selected. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!

Awesome! I never knew about that.
I'm going to a user group meeting tomorrow evening and I'll be making sure that I demo this!

I also love the new ability to colo(u)r query windows via Registered Servers!

cheers Lee
