Still lots of folks on SQL Server 2000…ugh.

I’ll be at the Microsoft MTC again in Irving, TX September 14, 15, 2009 for another Application Compatibility Lab.  Demand has been tremendous, and there will most likely be another one scheduled for October. Looking at the sign-up sheet, there are lots of major corporations around the Dallas-Fort Worth area that will be attending (and who are still on SQL Server 2000).  We’ll be doing upgrades and migrations, both locally and remotely on the first day, followed by app compatibility testing, and maybe some performance testing with the RML tools on the second day.  I’ve been doing these with Scott Hulke of Microsoft and Tom Davis of Sogeti USA LLC for over a year now, and find this to be a really great proving ground for moving to the latest version.

If you work for a company (any size) in the DFW area and are interested in this event for upgrading or migrating either SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005, give me a shout!  You can contact me here or at this email address.

Bluto:  Dorfman, I've thought long and hard about this. Your Delta Tau Chi name is... Flounder.
