Sort of a surprise to me, I bought a lot from them over the years

 

Apparently I didn’t buy enough! So we’re all stuck again with Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble I guess for new computer books I since Bookpool has come and gone. Although I don’t buy as many books as I used to, I especially enjoy them if I am researching a new topic to me (such patterns and practices and Hyper-V) since they help get me up-and-running so to speak. Too bad. Bookpool was consistently cheaper than Amazon; maybe that’s why they’re gone now.

Yeah - that's pretty sad to me. I think that when Amazon lowered their prices to "below wholesale" a few years ago, that was the final straw for them. I'm like you - they were my go-to store for about 3-4 years. However, books are a commodity - as soon as I found it cheaper elsewhere with free shipping (I'm an amazon prime member), that was it for me...
