Introduction to Bitmasking in SQL Server, Part 2

Ok got the word today that part 2 of my series entitled Introduction to Bitmasking in SQL Server will be at SQL Server Central on or around May 21, 2009. I’ve had a lot of questions, emails, pms, searches, et. al. concerning bit masking, or bitmasking if you will, over the past couple of years, so I decided to publish the second piece of this thing. Interestingly, most of the inquiries centered around the technique using a procedural language (not TSQL), so it will combine SQL Server as well as c# and the CLR. The method used is probably more akin to what you’ve seen on blogs and in textbooks, so it should be fairly straightforward and simple to follow. And, as was the first one, I will use the technique in a way that you have probably never seen before, so it should be cool.

Hopefully you will enjoy this as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.
