Handy script for finding database file usage

Here's a pretty slick script written by a buddy of mine, Chris Hayes, for extracting file statistics, file usage, and file placement for SQL Server data, log, and filestream (SQL Server 2008). Chris is a former associate from the defunct Software Architects and a good friend. No doubt that SQL Server 2005 and 2008 have a lot of nice reporting features for sure; the problem that I have with them is they’re not terribly quick to access. I still hear people today mentioning that miss the old “taskpad” from EM of yesteryear. Therefore, keeping stockpiled a number of quick scripts to access the newest versions of SQL Server is a worthwhile endeavor, especially since all of, or most of, the old ones from SQL Server 7 and 2000 may or may not work in the future. Anyway, check this out and see if you can use it, or add to it, to get stats on your SQL Server files.
